Heart failure is a condition in which the cardiovascular system cannot provide normal blood circulation. Problems appear because the heart is not shrinking too much, and therefore supplies less blood to the artery than is necessary.
Such a disease, as a deficiency of the heart muscle, is caused by irregularities in the work of the heart muscle. With heart failure, the heart muscle ceases to function properly as a pump. This leads to stagnation of blood, to a lack of oxygen and nutrients in the body. This disease most often occurs in the elderly.
Treatment of this ailment should be aimed at increasing the patient’s life expectancy and improving its quality. It is also very important to treat co-morbid conditions. This will reduce the manifestations of pathology and increase tolerance to physical exertion.
